Sprachenschmiede is a language academy offering live lessons for individuals, schoolchildren, professionals and companies. We provide one-to-one tuition, small groups and tailored language support, alongside translation, interpreting and services for people settling in Germany.

We offer German, English, Arabic, French, Russian and Chinese. Our courses are based on CEFR levels A1–C2. Please contact us to check current availability.

Online lessons take place live with a teacher, for example via Zoom. You practise speaking, listening, reading and writing. You need a stable internet connection and a suitable device.

We assess your current knowledge, learning goals and support needs before recommending a level and course format. You can also ask us about our English placement test.

Qualified teachers deliver our courses. We select them for language proficiency, professional suitability and teaching experience. Your teacher depends on the course and availability.

We offer live group lessons, private lessons, intensive courses and exam preparation. We also develop tailored programmes for companies and specific learning goals.

Yes. We plan lessons around your local time and preferred schedule. For learners outside the EU, we organise teaching across time zones around the clock (24/7). Within the EU, evening and weekend classes are available. Exact times are agreed individually.

Start dates depend on the language, course format and current schedule. Private lessons can start by arrangement; we will advise you of the next group-course dates.

Duration depends on your level, goals and course format. Lesson totals and dates are stated in the course description or your offer. One teaching unit (UE) in the prices shown here lasts 45 minutes.

General group courses cost €440–€1,300 per module, depending on the level. General private tuition costs €30 per 45-minute teaching unit. The prices and conditions shown at booking apply.

Please inform us as early as possible. Make-up or rescheduled lessons depend on your course type and booking terms. Missed group lessons cannot automatically be made up individually.

Yes. We provide German-language support and tutoring for all school types, from preparatory preschool language courses through Year 13 and the Abitur. Topics include grammar, spelling, writing, reading comprehension, text correction, literature and exam preparation. We assess each pupil’s needs and agree on an individual learning plan.

You practise technical vocabulary, workplace conversations, client communication, phone calls, emails, meetings and typical job situations. Content is tailored to your sector and language level.

Yes. We assess your company’s needs and provide tailored German training to support your employees’ communication and integration at work. We can also provide language and cultural support for their families. Lessons can take place at your company, at an agreed location with staff, or online.

Yes. Partners and children can join language and intercultural support by arrangement. We agree on the scope and content with the company and family.

The professional German and company courses described here are privately funded, not advertised as BAMF-funded vocational language courses.

Yes, if your employer agrees. We provide tailored corporate offers and invoices addressed to the agreed recipient.

Work-related training costs may be tax-deductible in certain circumstances. Please consult your tax adviser or tax office.

We offer two types of documentation: (A) a Sprachenschmiede certificate of attendance confirming course participation; and (B) a language certificate issued by a partner examination centre after a successful test. A certificate of attendance is not the same as an examination certificate. Examination arrangements and any fees are agreed separately.

Yes. We prepare learners for exams through reading, listening, writing and speaking practice, exercises and mock exams. We discuss specific exam formats before lessons begin.

An external examination fee is not automatically included. We explain tuition and examination costs separately before registration.

No. We support your preparation, but the result depends on your performance and the examination requirements.

You may request translations of personal, academic, professional and official documents, including certificates, records and contracts. Acceptance depends on language, subject and requirements.

We check whether an appropriately authorised or officially appointed translator can handle your request. Please tell us which authority or institution will receive the translation.

Timing and prices depend on language, length, subject and urgency. Send us your document for a tailored quote.

Yes. You can request interpreting for appointments with authorities, business meetings and other situations. We check the language, date and whether online or on-site delivery is appropriate.

We support international professionals, students and families as they settle in Germany through language tuition, intercultural orientation and language preparation for everyday appointments.

No. We provide language and organisational support, not legal or tax advice. Please consult qualified professionals for those matters.

You may request tailored terms for families, groups or larger bookings. Only the rates confirmed in your offer or during booking are binding.

Monthly instalments may be arranged for eligible courses. Amounts and due dates are agreed before booking; each month’s payment is due before that month’s lessons begin.

We confirm available payment methods in your offer or at checkout. Company invoicing is possible.

Yes. We issue invoices for booked services and can invoice a company when arranged.

Consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. The terms provided at conclusion of the contract and applicable law govern this right, including where services have already started.

Cancellation rights and notice periods depend on your course and contract. Contact us by email; an online cancellation option is available where required by law.
